I'm still here!

I had a bit of a detour the day after I started my blog. I had two ruptured disks in my spine and finally got my doctors approvals, the insurance to pay for it and the nerve to go through with it. I had to have that taken care of. The pain was debilitating and I hate taking pain meds. I am now the proud owner of a $135k Titanium Aspen fusion. I did not miss one class nor did I take an Incomplete. I am proud to say I made it through, even with a 50-50 chance of survival due to several medical issues, and did not miss a beat in my quest to earn my Master of Arts in Education. My family took good care of me and I loved seeing my grandbabies while I was recuperating. I am also blessed enough to be having a new little grandson coming along in January. We are so excited!
I love going to school and would be a professional student if there were such an occupation; I have not found it yet nor do I suspect a very high pay scale. The course I'm in now does bring up a lot of issues I have with how "Big Brothery" every has gotten. I just do not trust wikis or the Wikipedia for correct information and this twitter thing has got to stop. I really do not want to hear about every excruciating bit of minutiae of a person's life, celebrity or layperson. I just do not have time for that, but in this age of technology running our day-to-day lives for us, I have to learn it so I am able to teach it with an open mind and a closed mouth as far as my personal opinions go. Since I'm in it to win it, my Masters that is, then I have to get serious about learning everything I can so I will be able to teach as I love, with an open heart and mind. Be well. It's harder than I thought!
